Mary was born on 22 March 1741, the daughter of Malachi Conant and Sarah Freeman. At the age of 21, she married James Parker, the son of Zachariah Parker and Rebecca Parks, in Mansfield, Connecticut. She and James had 14 children, the first of whom died as a newborn.

Mary was a descendant of Roger Conant, the founder of Salem, Massachusetts and a Mayflower descendant through her mother, Sarah Freeman.

Mary died on 2 December 1829 in Mansfield at the age of 88.
