Marie Theotiste Dagneau was born on April 2, 1779, in Boucherville, Quebec, Canada, to Marie Maillot, age 29, and Jean Baptiste Dagneau, age 32.
On 3 Oct 1796, having found no opposition to the marriage between Jean Baptiste Bachan, adult son of the late Pierre Bachan and Marie Foysi, and Theotiste Dagneau, minor daughter of Jean Baptiste Dagneau and Marie Malhiot, the priest conducted the service and pronounced them man and wife in front of their family members. Theotiste was 15; Jean Baptiste was 21.
Just two years later, Theotiste’s mother passed away.
At the age of 27, Theotiste gave birth to our ancestor, Luis.
Theotiste was 66 when her husband passed away on 1 September 1845 in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec at the age of 70.
Theotiste died in Quebec City in 1861 at the age of 82.
