Lydia was born in Centerbrook (Essex), Connecticut on 10 November 1793 to Joel Doane, age 30 and Lydia Stannard, age 29.

At the age of 17, Lydia married Isaiah Post in Centerbrook and gave birth to at least four children, including our ancestor Lydia Harriet Post. They resided in Westbrook, Connecticut until Lydia’s death on 8 December 1835. She was 42 years old.

Our ancestor, Abel Kelsey, was Lydia’s 1st cousin.
